Founded in Fresno in 1972, a group of concerned valley businessmen started a program to assist in removing the inebriated homeless from the streets of Fresno County, giving them the opportunity to help rebuild their lives. They established a long-term recovery program known as Comprehensive Alcohol Program, Inc. As society has changed, so have the programs and counseling styles at CAP, with the addition of a recovery program for drug abuse. For this reason, we are now known as Comprehensive Addiction Programs, Inc. (CAP Recovery Home).
